ASHEVILLE, NC, OCTOBER 20, 2014 – The Van Winkle Law Firm announced the selections of attorneys Ryan W. Coffield and Elizabeth C. Franks to the 2014 class of “40 Under Forty” presented by the Biltmore Beacon and the Young Professionals of Asheville.
Area business leaders and community members nominated outstanding professionals under the age of 40 in the greater Asheville area. A gala was held at the Grove Park Inn to celebrate all honorees and their achievements.
Coffield joined The Van Winkle Law Firm in 2013, focusing his practice on business matters with special attention to tax considerations. He earned his law and master’s degree in taxation from Washington University in St. Louis and his bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of North Carolina.
Franks joined The Van Winkle Law Firm’s Litigation Group in 2012 and represents clients in state and federal court. She previously practiced law in Ohio and worked for the federal government for over four years before returning to private practice. Franks serves on the board of Homeward Bound and WCQS. She is also a member of the Highlands Circle Steering Committee, a young leaders group within the United Way of Asheville and Buncombe County.
