The Van Winkle Law Firm congratulates attorneys Rob Mays and Jenny Boyer for their selection to the Biltmore Beacon’s 40 Under Forty list for 2017. The Biltmore Beacon is a local newspaper publication that honors individuals each year based on their business success and community impact.
Mays joined Van Winkle in 2010 and in 2017 became partner at the Firm. As a member of the Creditors’ Rights and Litigation practice groups he has recovered millions of dollars for local and regional lenders, contractors, and construction suppliers. He has litigated a variety of matters in state and federal courts, and successfully argued a case before the North Carolina Supreme Court earlier this year. In 2015 Rob and his wife Katie were named “Parent Champions” by the Asheville City Schools Foundation.
Mays is a part of an experienced team of creditors’ rights lawyers who work together to maximize recoveries for clients while minimizing expense and disruption. In litigation matters, Rob joins a skilled team of civil litigators with a long history of successful representation in complex matters before state and federal courts, regulatory boards, agencies, and commissions.
Boyer relocated to Asheville in 2016 and soon after joined the Firm’s Trusts and Estates practice group, focusing on trust and estate planning and estate administration. She serves as a member of Pisgah Legal Services’ Young Professionals Board, Pisgah Legal Services’ Development Council, and as a United Way Highlands Circle member.
Boyer joins the largest trusts and estates practice group in Western North Carolina, which provides a wide variety of experience and specialties to clients. Attorneys on the trusts and estates team tailor estate plans to protect clients’ valuable assets. In addition, the team works closely with beneficiaries, trustees, and executors to ensure that estates are managed effectively during and after their transfer.
The Van Winkle Law Firm is proud to have two team members featured on this year’s Biltmore Beacon 40 Under Forty list- an honor that exhibits dedication to their work, their community, and their clients.
