Asheville attorney Emma Hodson of The Van Winkle Law Firm is one of six local attorneys who has volunteered to debate members of the Asheville High School Speech & Debate team at the Third Annual “Student vs. Lawyer Debate Slam,” which will take place on Friday, April 29, 2016 from 6:00- 8:00 p.m. Come watch as the team goes head-to-head against Ms. Hodson and other attorneys as they debate outrageous and humorous topics.
The debate will be held in the Asheville High Arts Theater auditorium, near the Victoria Road entrance to the school. There will be a $10 suggested donation at the door. All proceeds will benefit the AHS/SILSA Speech & Debate Team Booster Club, which will be sending five students to Nationals this year. Hot food and beverages will be available for purchase before and after the event. Attendees are asked to use Victoria Road to park in the AHS/SILSA Student parking lot.
