The Van Winkle Law Firm is pleased to announce the Attorney John Veazey, of our Trusts & Estates team, has been advanced to Full Principal.
John’s practice focuses on estate planning and administration. He has handled a wide range of cases in the practice areas of charitable gift planning, business succession planning, taxation, trust reformations and terminations, trust and estate disputes and controversies, employment and workplace law, nonprofit organizations, and other related topics.
John earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of North Carolina in 2006. He also earned a Master’s degree in Taxation from New York University. Prior to joining the team at The Van Winkle Law Firm, John served as a clerk for Justice Paul Newby with the North Carolina Supreme Court. He also has two years of experience on the staff at the North Carolina Law Review, where he spent one years as an articles editor.
John is a member of the North Carolina State Bar, the 29th Judicial District Bar, the Land and Sky Estate Planning Council, and Henderson County Young Professionals. An effective and trusted advocate, John is skilled when it comes to finding tax-efficient strategies for your legal matters. His goal is to help individuals preserve their assets, both now and for future generations.
