Asheville, N.C. – The Van Winkle Law Firm announced today that attorney Jake Farrar has joined the firm as an associate in its business practice group. Farrar will work with the firm’s business law team representing businesses at all stages, from formation to dissolution.
Before joining the firm, Farrar served as corporate counsel to regional startups and businesses at a local Asheville firm. He received his bachelor’s degree in economics from Georgetown University in 2009 and went on to earn his law degree at Vanderbilt Law School in 2014. He is a member of the North Carolina State Bar and the State Bar of California. Farrar is active in the business community and regularly volunteers time with organizations such as Venture Asheville and Mountain BizWorks, that support the growth and development of local businesses and startups. He is also a graduate of Leadership Asheville, a UNC Asheville program that cultivates community leadership.
