Asheville, N.C. – The Van Winkle Law Firm announced today that attorney BJ Kilgore has advanced to principal with the firm.
Kilgore joined the firm 2016 and focuses his practice on probate law, trust & estate planning, trust and estate administration and trust reformations and terminations. His experience ranges from creating Powers of Attorneys and working with clients on Health Care documents to significant experience in wealth management where he guides clients in maintaining, preserving, protecting and transferring wealth from one generation to another. He strategically handles each client’s unique circumstances in a manner consistent with their goals. Kilgore is active in the local community and serves on Pisgah Legal Services Young Professionals Board, the Professional Advisory Committee to the Community Foundation of Western North Carolina, and the Executive Committee of Highland’s Circle (United Way). He earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Appalachian State University in 2007 and his law degree from Campbell University in 2012.
