We are pleased to welcome our newest associate, Koral F. Alman, to the trusts and estates team in our Hendersonville, NC office. Koral will focus on trust and estate planning and administration for clients throughout Western North Carolina.
Before joining the Firm, Koral practiced at a boutique law firm in Los Angeles, California concentrating on commercial, antitrust, and unfair competition litigation. Koral obtained her bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida before moving to Lexington, Virginia, to pursue her law degree from Washington and Lee University School of Law. During law school, she was selected as a Burks Scholar, which involved teaching as an adjunct instructor for first-year legal research and writing. Additionally, she held the position of Executive Editor for the Journal of Civil Rights and Social Justice. She is licensed in both California and North Carolina.
After practicing in California, Koral is glad to be back in the mountains of Western North Carolina where she is actively involved in the North Carolina Association of Women Attorneys and the Rotary Club of Asheville South. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, running, reading and spending time with her husband Ferrell and their dog Indiana Jones. The Van Winkle Law Firm is glad to have the addition of Koral to our experienced and dedicated trusts and estates team.
